Assemble in Shimla early in the morning for a scenic drive through Narkanda and Rampur. The route follows the Satluj River into the Kinnaur district, ending in the peaceful village of Kafnu, nestled amidst apple orchards. Overnight stay in a guesthouse or homestay.

A steady climb toward the base of the Bhaba Pass. The trail follows the Phustirang stream and involves navigating moraine sections and steep ridges. From the campsite, you can enjoy views of the impressive Hansbeshan Peak.

This is the summit day. An early start leads to a steep, challenging ascent to the top of the pass. At 16,125 feet, witness the incredible "crossover" as the green valleys of Kinnaur disappear, replaced by the desert landscape of Spiti. Descend through glacial sections and gravel to reach the Baldar campsite.

The final leg of the trek is a descent through the unique, red-tinted soil of the Pin Valley. You will cross a suspension bridge over the Pin River to enter Mudh village, known for its distinct Tibetan-influenced culture. The trek concludes here, with options to continue toward Kaza or return toward Manali.
